Although a lot of plans for the 365//365 review project were somewhat altered, or just outright changed in order to preserve my sanity and more importantly, the project’s integrity, having some sort of interaction with our readers was a sacrifice I did not wish to make. As I type this, October 2nd through December 31st are the remaining days left to be completed for this massive gaming review project. Over 270 reviews have been done, with more than likely over a couple hundreds of thousands words, hundreds of images and handfuls of my hair yanked out in the process. Throughout that time, only four requests have been filled, with three requests coming from those within the Chocolate Lemon ring of ravaging rapscallions.
What I would like to do is field some suggestions for seven of the last ninety or so reviews left in this project. I may increase this number some, as I’m in the process of finalizing my final three months worth of scheduling. Since I try to keep most of what I do a secret up until the day of its release (with the omission being the naming of themed weeks), I won’t list away what is coming up. If by chance there are games selected that have already been reviewed or selected to be reviewed previously, I can put your name at the beginning as dedication to that person or those people that requested it.
While there’s six months left in the year, with the final three not complete just quite yet in terms of review content, I still have plenty of time to bang them out. However, I do have a few restrictions as to what I feel that I will be able to review:
- No RPG’s or anything with a heavy dedication needed (I have an RPG week sketched in for November atm, however due to the extensive nature of RPG’s in general, I may scrap it. Even I do scrap it, I’d prefer not to work on them unless it’s something substantial that was just released)
- I do not own every game in existence, however if something is suggested and I can acquire it with little fuss or spending as little as I can in a monetary means, I’ll bite, and I’ll select it for review.
- Some of the highly acclaimed series in gaming, such as Metal Gear Solid, Halo and so on, I might be less than likely to review, although if there are enough people that would like me to touch upon a certain big name title, then I can do my best to accommodate you all.
I’m not completely sure how I will pick these suggestions, outside possibly taking on the most requested games in the batch. Depending on how many requests are sent in general, I may do more than seven, and instead of putting them into a Viewers Choice Week or something to that extent, I’ll spread them around, and maybe even shift a few of them up for release before October 2nd.
You can leave your suggestions and recommendations in three different areas that I check often enough:
- Leave me a message on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/Jas0nVelez (feel free to follow and ask me questions whenever you’d like, as I’ll usually catch them and respond in a rather timely manner)
- Leave a message down below in the Comment Box.
- Leave me an email at GalarianValoran@clgamer.com
Although video content has not appeared, and possibly will not be incorporated into this project, there are preliminary plans to utilize different kinds of video content into my work beyond the 365//365 project. Nothing much can be said past this, as it’s still in the planning phases, but needless to say, although I won’t partake in another massive undertaking such as this current project, the wheels of planning are beginning to accelerate, and ready to take you all for another ride, only you’ll all be able to ride shotgun!
That’s all I got for now, folks. Again, you can leave your suggestions via Twitter, email or a comment below. If you have any questions in general, Twitter and email are the fastest ways to grab my attention. I’ve also received several thanks you’s from several places for several different reasons, ranging from the project I’m working on, to thanking me (not by name) from a brief encounter I had with them at E3 via vlog from Spoony, Angry Joe and JewWario, with each happening about the same day. I’ve always said to myself that if only one person in the world ever followed what I did, and they appreciated and enjoyed it, then everything I worked for was validated. I hope to leave another message or two about the 365//365 project wrapping up as it happens, as well as let everyone in on my plans after the year is done.
Stay tuned!
