Earlier in the afternoon gamespot was doing rounds on the show floor, asking about the games and taking questions live from their viewers. Here is the information that we collected during that time;
Call of Duty: Black Ops
- Will feature some technological weapons. The military usually issues Black Op forces weapons that are 5 years in advance.
- Multiplayer may or may not contain a zombies mode. The developers do read frequented forums and would like to be responsive with their audience, so expect some sort of unique multiplayer mode.
- Release date November 9th.
Naruto: Shippuden
- 40+ characters including all paths of pain characters.
- Online play will be world wide, so you can play other people from other countries.
- There will be an action adventure mode with emotional story line.
- The game will start at the beginning of the Shippuden arc and extend to episodes that have not been released yet for the Summer season in Japan.
- You will be able to follow characters through their story arcs.
- While in battle, you will have a gauge that automatically fills up, once it’s full, you can enter a combo mode with your support characters.
- Single player campaign will take about 15-25hrs.
- It will be released in the US before Japan, around September or October. Demo TBA but they have stated it will be “soon”.
Rockband 3:
- Drop in, drop out enabled at any point in the game.
- 1,500 songs, and 2,000 by the end of the year.
- You will be able to categorize your songs by era, length, personal rating, and more.
- Will now have a 5 octane keyboard peripheral.
- Can teach you to play a real instrument.
- When you pause, the track will rewind slightly so you don’t mess up on resume.
- 80+ new songs that have never been seen in Rockband, including Bohemian Rhapsody, Sister Christan, music by The Doors, The White Stripes, and more.
Dead Space 2:
- Players are no longer confined to the Ishimura.
- High focus on new environments and experiences within them.
- New barfing enemies (lol ok.).
- More fluid animations
- Javelin gun added with shock feature that does AoE for tough situations.
- Pacing switches between creepy suspense, and intense action.
- Rumor: A possibility of interaction between Dead Space 2 characters and Extraction.
- Issac will now talk a little more, but not much.
- Difficulty will stay about the same as the first.
Limbo:
- Came to life from concept art drawn by the creator’s friend.
- Quoted “We want you to die a lot”, this will be a difficult game (from playing through most of Lucidity, I can attest to this.)
- Available on the XBOX Live Arcade only for 1,200 points.
Socom 4:
- Dual Shock and/or Move compatible, whichever you prefer.
- Upholding the multiplayer and team based element but will now feature a single player mode with an emphasis on cinematic cut scenes.
- Includes female support characters for in-game fights. If they are playable is yet to be seen.
We will keep you all updated as we get more information!

I live out in Seattle, Washington and work in the gaming industry. Gaming and I have a casual relationship right now, as I was big on MMOs for many years. I won't hesitate to get competitive though! I'm also a fan of anime and most things nerdy. I'd rather watch the History and Discovery channel more than anything else when I'm in front of the TV!
Back in the day I jumped from Super Nintendo, to Dreamcast, to the original XBOX. By most gamer's standards I was deprived. High school was the first time I really got serious about games when a friend of mine got me in to Ragnarok Online. From there I jumped to L2 and FFXI. Now I play many genres and styles of games, and am nerdier than ever!
