Krismas here with a full clip of information straight from the Valor Company front-lines! What is Valor Company you ask? Well to understand the answer to that question you must first understand the world of M.A.G. Now take your seats class, it is time for an educational lesson.

The year is 2025 and the world isn’t any prettier than it was 15 years ago. The world is engulfed in a constant and desperate struggle to maintain life. Food shortages and the constant value of currencies dropping ever lower, the fight to keep a nation alive is a difficult one, especially with such fierce competition. Alliances and treaties were created in hopes that the balance would tip for one side’s favor. This ultimately led to the creation of the Millennium Peace Accord which limits the size of a nation’s army to that of one barely enough for a national emergency and further limits that army to remain exclusively within its nation’s borders. With such restrictions in place, private military companies (PMCs) saw the market for hired guns was ripe for the picking. After years of competition three PMCs rose to the top of the tier list; Raven (a PMC that believes in technological strength over all else), S.V.E.R (a group consisting of mercenaries, assassins, street-warriors, and criminals who would stop at nothing to achieve their goals), and Valor (battle tested veterans who see their years of experience as the ultimate advantage) are all caught in a fight for financial supremacy. Battle after battle is fought, hidden from the view of the general public, in what is known as the Shadow War as each company strikes out against one another.
Now that we are up to speed let us get a grip on the game itself. The very first thing to note about M.A.G. is that there is no story mode. 100% of this game is spent playing with and against other players online. You take control of a soldier whose appearance you loosely customize as a part of one of the three PMCs, which you get to choose. As a hired gun, your job is to fight for the sake of the company, whether it be defending information hubs or sabotaging rival company fuel reserves. Most standard FPS conventions apply in this game and by extension that means the controls too. Customizable load-outs allow you to adapt to different situations and personalized skills allow you to play according to your style (I personally LOVE being up close and personal so I pack a shotgun and mobility skills). Quite possibly the most interesting aspects of this title are its objective based gameplay and the sheer size of the battlefield, with the biggest game type holding up to 256 individual players. M.A.G. steers away from giving the most reward to people who hold the highest amount of kills and places more importance in team value. A perfect example would be how you get twice as much experience from reviving an ally than you get from gunning an enemy down and with 200 plus players, injured bodies are just as abundant as targets.
Being a full time Valor soldier, I am here to give you the ins and outs of the company. We at Valor are an honorable group of soldiers who value battlefield experience above all else. We fight courageously through all odds, running is not an act we practice. We like to hit fast and hard and when coordinated, our soldiers are a force to be afraid of. Recently we have had a lot of new recruits, both freelancers and ex-SVER or ex-Raven soldiers, who are out of sync with how Valor works. Lots of hot-shot soldiers and glory seekers are causing us to lose our standing in the war. The squads we send out are becoming imbalanced, a majority of these new recruits seem to only care about shooting down enemies and because of this we don’t have enough medics or field support. This is only a temporary setback however, as soon as these recruits get their “platinum trophy” they’ll return to their PMC of origin and Valor will return to it’s full capabilities.
With a great set of equipment to choose from, our biggest advantage in terms of weaponry is their reliability. Valor is able to supply its troops with field tested weapons guaranteed to get any job done. Our weapons do not boost about having the best firepower or accuracy, but we do guarantee you the best balance of the two. Quite possibly the only weak point in Valor arms comes from the sub-machine gun, a short range gun more suited for personal defense. With low stopping power and a low bullet capacity, it easily loses many firefights to all other types of guns on the field. For a more consistent personal defense weapon, the 12-gauge shotgun, the best shotgun on the marker due to its large ammo capacity, is a far wiser choice. Though limited in range, it can put anyone down in a matter of seconds, perfect for securing locations and objectives.
And that’s all there is to Valor. I’ll be returning to the front line in a few days time to gather more information about how to successfully defend Valor maps. Stay tuned for more MAG updates as I will be diving into the front lines of SVER forces to find out just how the “underdogs” tick. This has been Krismas reporting for duty. Company dismissed!
