Michael Jackson’s Legacy Left in Sonic 3, fact or fiction?

12.03.2009

In one of the many IRC chartrooms that I inhabit, someone linked me a pretty sweet documentary discussing Michael Jackson’s involvement with Sega.  It looks like he did more than just lend his voice talents to the Space Channel 5 series.  Now, I know people are going to say “Oh no this is just some conspiracy made up by nerds wanting attention.”  Well the documentary found here is very well done and includes an interview with  Brad Buxer (MJ’s musical director) citing evidence supporting this theory.

However on the opposite end of the spectrum there is an incredibly well written article by Ken Horowitz of sega-16.com that completely disputes Buxer’s statements.  Horowitz’s article can be read here and I highly suggest that you do read it.

So where does this leave us?  Did MJ leave his legacy with a Blue Hedgehog or is it just a bunch of MJ conspiracy theory that we can put up there with Elvis still being alive.  I think there may be more evidence to this…but you don’t have to take my word for it. *cue reading rainbow jingle here*
