Super! [Post Announcement Update!]

We waited, we speculated. Now, it’s on its way.

Street Fighter 4.

Which is funny, because I was literally about to do a post on this very picture and engage in some sort of matlockery (Is that T.Hawk on the screen? Can anyone see the cabinet in the lower right See what it says?)

But NeoGAF stopped me. Then gaming site JG247 sat me down and showed me these:

There are no details further than this, but what I can gather so far are are two new characters in T.Hawk and newcomer Juri, possibly more than one ultra per character (check out the modified special bar!) and…

That’s it, I have nothing. Whether it’s going to be DLC or on a disc is unknown, nor is the release date, nor features (though I’ve heard everything from double the roster to bonus stages coming back), but what my poking around did reveal was this site.

The date the site teases is Sept. 29th, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. JST. That, if my math is correct, is 4 a.m. for us Westerners running on Eastern time.

[Update] -It’s confirmed, Super Street Fighter 4 is NOT going to be downloadable content of some sort, but instead a standalone disc with 8 new characters (though there may be more based on input from fans), a boatload of tweaks and balance changes, and a much improved online (lobbies, anyone?)
