Well its here again, NYAF! Its only the first day, but still people were out and about taking in the festival. Got to see plenty of people in costumes, some good, some…well some that needed work but were clever none the less. Here are some pics from today, expect plenty of more from tomorrow’s various panels and such as we will be roaming with the camera and interviewing people left and right. My first initial reaction to it, I will have to say that it was more of a small time dealers festival rather than a full out convention. Its good for people to get out there and get their names out for their small time businesses that appeal to the anime and otaku audience. It was interesting to see some of the big names there like Funimation and DelRey. Though like I said, this was a very low scale type of deal. Not like the massiveness that is NYCC. However, I did hear from folk that the reason for this is that NYAF and NYCC will be merging into one massive convention next year. What will this hold, time will tell, for now lets enjoy this Con for what its worth! More tomorrow friends!
