Anyone willing to help some poor gamers out?, new PS3 and 360 content burning holes in our small pockets.. beware.

Seriously, I will be taking donations. I am sure many other gamers will be equally challenged to keep up with the monetary needs to purchase the many exciting games and content releases for the PS3 and 360 scheduled during the summer season.

There are many whiffs of good games scheduled to be out in the next month alone and we haven’t even seen what will be available at E3 yet. It’s amazing and truly exciting. I decided it would be great to compile a short list of special trinkets to look out for in the upcoming month.

To begin in this month briefly I will say if you don’t have Patapon2 it was released for the PSP on May 5. If you were a fan of the prequel I am sure you would like to know this. This actually slipped through the cracks for me as well, but I am excited to see it’s on the market now. The last information I  heard about it was from  E3 2008. It was pleasing to see the first Patapon  nominated for a few video game awards in 2008 as well, it definitely deserved them.

Next, we have for the Ghostbuster fans, The Ghostbusters game coming out for the PS3, 360 and the Wii on June 16.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite for you die hard lovers will be hitting shelves June 23. Maybe this game won’t be hard as hell like its predecessor but I doubt it. Please don’t shoot me hardcore Freedom Hunters. It is definitely a lot of fun with a group of friends, so if you have some real serious fans of the game who know how to kick but I highly recommended it.

Well, Well, what do we have here MARVEL VS CAPCOM 2 coming to the Ps3 and 360 June 29. I am super excited about this one. This game never dies you say, and you are right it does not. FINALLY I will be able to play/practice this game without having to fear instant death at the Chinatown Fair Arcade in NYC before my quarter even hits the bottom of the arcade machine. There will be online play and it will be in HD!!! What more could you ask for, a demo on PS3 you say? Already done, check your PSN Store.

We have Street Fighter 4 releasing on the PC the very next day June 30. What makes this launch great is the fact it comes with a MadCatz controller that will work on PC and 360 and the bundle is only 60 bucks. WHAT A DEAL. I paid $ 60 for my Madcatz controller alone. I don’t know about you but this will be one of my top purchases if I get any donations to the fund.

Lastly, Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection will be in stores July 28. I am also seriously looking forward to this as well. There will be in game add on content with seven…that’s right SEVEN new multiplayer maps, and considering there have been 3 different sets of downloadable maps released already, that is a lot. What is awesome is that they will also be included just incase you did not get them yet. So you will get the Flashback Map Pack, the Combustible Map Pack, the Snowblind Map Pack and then the seven new maps falling under the title Dark Corners. The All Fronts Collection will also feature a never before seen deleted chapter titled Road to Ruin. It seems they are definitely going all out the keep the ball rolling in Gears and that is great.

You know I am kidding, but the point is this upcoming month and at least the end of July is going to be exciting and hard for us gamers to keep up with. So save your monies if you are interested in any of these games, you certainly don’t want to be left empty handed.

    Aside from Ghostbusters, the only other game I’m interested in this year is Brutal Legend. I find the taste of mainstream games getting blander and blander.

    As a hardcore Monster Hunter,I must say I am waiting for MHFU. Of course by waiting,I mean putting the finishing touches on MHF2 before the release. And no,we wont shoot you. =p

    As for MvC2, all I have to say is ugh.

    Good writing. I think the only thing on here I’m really excited for is MVC2 — however, it won’t really be in full HD. The characters are still sprites (boo) but it’d be crazy for them to completely reanimate all 56 characters, so that’s ok. It’ll still be crazy. Alas, I anticipate even WORSE competition online than in the arcades, something I’m sort of NOT looking forward to, to be quite honest. I’d rather have friendly tourneys with a bunch of real life friends and drinks at the crib then get caught in an elaborate air combos by Jill Valentine being used by a beast somewhere in Japan! lolol

    I’ve become hopelessly addicted to Sacred 2 on the 360. Have not had this much for with the genre since Champions of Norrath many years ago. It’s flawed but it’s fun.

    There’s a couple of things coming up that I am interested in, mainly Red Faction Guerrilla. MP was pretty fun at Comicon, and the single player was good stuff. Physics work is pretty eye opening if you really look closely at how it all goes. MVC2 I’ll get just because it’s been a good leisure fun, as broken as it comes off as.

    There’s probably a couple more coming up, but Sacred 2 will keep me enthralled for the long run. Mostly. I hope.

    I keep hearing that the gears 2 pack will also have new armors as well…considering i saw the face guard that fenix was wearing which looked godlike…im on your side as well dude… im broke and i want em ASAP Lol

    @ Valeraxiel lol thank you I was scared, especial of a said freedom hunter named phire lol. I can’t believe you are trying to put the finishing touches on that game I barely cracked the surface :| It is fun once you get the hang of it just very challenging.

    Don’t forget about the PS3 exclusive Infamous releasing on May 26th. Really fun new open world game with hints of Spiderman2. IGN really liked it, gave it a 9.2 http://ps3.ign.com/articles/981/981734p1.html

    Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes…. Let me tell you the ending real quick. If you see the following, you are in deep shit if you’re a beginner:

    1. If the other person has either Sentinel, Cable, Magneto, Storm, or Iron Man, that person probably is a serious player.

    2. If their last assist happens to be Cyclops, Psylocke, Doom, Captain Commando, T.Bonne, or Sentinel, that person is serious.

    3. If you see MSP (Magneto, Storm, Psylocke), MSS (Magneto, Storm, Sentinel)Santrax (Storm, Sentinel, Captain Commando), Matrix (Storm, Sentinel, and Cyclops), they are VERY serious.

    Just some friendly advice that if you see the following, you might see some weird shit if you haven’t played it in a while….. The game came out like 10 years ago and they are still finding out more stuff…… Playing it in Chinatown Fair, you would be used to seeing it. A beginner however, will be shocked how one the biggest and strongest (Sentinel) is also one of the fastest (With Flight) also with a air infinite….. It doesn’t kill you but seeing it will blow your mind….. LOL!!!
