STREET FIGHTER IV: The new crack on the streets!

Yes, you read it right Street Fighter IV is the new crack. It is extremely addicting to play. So much to cover in game, such as the trial modes where you improve your execution and combo abilities by completing the move or set of moves the computer gives you. Also there is survival mode, and time attack mode which help you to acquire more titles, taunts and outfit colors in the game.

I think by far the most addicting part of the game is the ability to play opponents online. You can either play ranked match or player match. Ranked match you play for battle points while player match you are playing a free match. I prefer ranked match because you are not instantly sent back to the lobby against the same person you won or lost against like in player match. It seems like a minor issue but when you are pissed off by someone you don’t want to see them again.

I do feel ranked match needs to send u back to an empty lobby room instead of having to choose rank match from the menu again, that is an unnecessary step. Other than the battle points I find it extremely addicting to be able to play random people online anytime I want. I don’t have to wait for my friends to come on or wait until I meet up with people to play. Playing the computer gets old very quickly and does nothing for your skills against real players so it’s awesome to have the best of both worlds in this game.

The new online addition championship mode I haven’t had much play time with but from yesterday night I am going to go off and say it’s annoying. Instead of getting battle points you can earn a letter grade and championship points. As of now people are way too cheesy on this mode using lame tactics such as fireball spamming and choosing one character such as Akuma or Gouken. There are other characters to choose in the game then Akuma people. I played 4 people back to back in championship mode and they all chose Akuma. There is something wrong with that picture.

I feel in ranked match people at least try to actually play with some level of skill plus other characters and not just cheese all the time. It’s really exciting to face off against a highly skilled opponent such as I faced on Saturday one of the best Chunli’s I have seen online to date. I almost thought I was playing Justin Wong, hint I got massacred. It is cool though gets the adrenaline pumping and encourages you to step up your game.

If you don’t have Street Fighter 4 go get it now, and start training immediately you are extremely behind. There are some great players out there  but this game is something in video game history you should not miss especially if you are a fighting game fan. For me Street Fighter 4 is bringing back that insane drive and determination that comes when playing fighting games and that is to win. Not just win though, rape/massacre people in battle and that’s great it’s the ultimate feeling  that everyone should get when playing a fighting game, so don’t miss out.

This is the only time I will promote crack……Street Fighter 4 is crack, please go purchase it and ENJOY! ^_^

I agree about the champ mode, there are alot of cheeses, but no more than i found on ranked matches. and you are wrong about Akuma, people only pick RYU, KEN, and AKUMA. Sagat is very close as well. i can count on one hand the amount of times i have fought honda, balrog, or able surprisingly. after seeing all the major bullsh!t, i decided to learn able to completely throw the chessers for a loop. now i dispose of them quicker than a wet-yellowish-snot rag.

Sounds like you really took my suggestion of playing against people online to heart. Hows the lag? I find the only non-lagged people I ever play are on my friends list, and Ranked or Player Match people tend to be pretty slow. I managed to track down a fight pad and a fight stick in Halifax. If I ever get home will you unleash the beast on me?

@GearofRap I am not wrong. I just didn’t add Ryu and Ken into the equation. On Ranked matches yes a lot of people do pick those three.I don’t find it to be annoying at least lately I felt that people were choosing to play with a variety of characters like Gen or Zangief. I notice in ranked matched people usually wait on Ryu to see who you will choose and then pick a character respectively. That particular night I was playing Championship mode NO ONE PICKED ANYONE ELSE BUT AKUMA soooo that is where I am making the statement from xD! People actually at least when I play pick Sagat way less then I expected O_O. Then again when my friend played on my account saturday he fought Sagat 3 times back to back in ranked matches. XD

@ Noz I haven’t experienced many laggy battles surprisingly, probably can count them on my hand. Some people have some shitty connections though so I be wondering o_o
