What makes a smart gamer, how do you classify one? Is it thier ability to adapt, counter the player, the character or just flat out understand the game mechanics better then anyone else.
Well here is my take on things. A smart gamer always adapts within short periods of time and they always fights the player first, character second. I do not believe knowing game mechanics add much to player smarts, as we have seen in history players can branch into different genres and make an immediate impact all because of there adaptivity.
A stupid player on a short note is one who never seeks answers, never thinks outside the box. They will continue to fall for the same setups, gimmicks, tricks, will always fight your character and never understand why he loses even in a bad match up. In short he is an ass player who has to be taught rather then have at least a bit of common sense all on his own.
I am not saying anything is set in stone, so i don’t know what is your definition of a smart gamer?

LMAO!! In short he is an ass player” ahhahaha
A smart gamer plays the player, this is true in all games.
Your character in any game is just that, an avatar with more or less the same attributes as anyone else. It’s the way you manipulate your avatar that gives you any tangible weight during play.
Anyone can throw a hadouken, but someone with actual knowledge of their character knows the mind games, knows the advantages of a fake, can control vertical space, can time their crossups and throws, it’s a whole different level when you start playing your opponent.
Anyone remember fighting Guile in SF2? You were hardly fighting the character as much as you were trying to contend with the way the CPU manipulated him.
LMAO Jago only plays top tier characters and just abuses space control and punishment
