My Morning Commute Challenge

The only times I play my PSP are when I am in transit or have some sort of ad-hoc LAN running at my house. I have the chunky hunk (old school) PSP with a couple of home brew items on it. One of these items is a Nintendo with a few games on it. I was about 2/3 when Nintendo was released and one of my earliest memories was sitting in my moms lap trying to get past that first goomba in Super Mario Bros.. So I have dedicated my morning/evening and random commutes to beating classic Nintendo games. Initially I started off with a Boy and his Blob and then was working on Castlevania (must I say Dracula at the end of the game is a bitch.Like seriously the game glitches soo bad that he’s sometimes invisible. If you played the classic stuff you know what I mean. Where blocks of pixels are just gone from view but you are still affected by them.). My new project is the Mega man series. To be totally honest I never was good at the Mega Man series as a child. I sucked so I floated towards other games and genres. I feel as if I did miss out so i decided to play Mega Man.( I did play 8 on PS one but that’s it) So i’m starting fresh now. I’ve realized the stage is actually the hardest part and the bosses are fairly easy. I’m very brute so I tend to focus more on attacking than defense. So i just wail away with the weapon I had. I chose to kill Cutman first(he’s a punk in the cartoon) then Elec,Ice,Fire,Bomb and finally Guts. Now as I was on the L train I had a bit of an audience. I was stuck for my entire train ride on the falling platforms in the first 20 secs of the stage. It was just a matter of timing yes but it is soo deceptive. When I finally made it to the last platform and the freedom to jump across to the solid ground I failed.On that fail i’ve heard about 20 awes and one older gentleman said ‘Hey man you had it.That game is BS’ Eventually I advanced to fight Gutsman who was fairly easy. Once I beat him i headed back to Cut and just hit him in a face with a few rocks for lol’s. After advancing to Wileys stage, the game kinda crashed and there were platforms that were supposed to load in so i can make a few jumps and they never did..I have to start all over again.

In any case there’s a few vids that i’ve been watching that keep me in the Mega Man mood.
